Our 5 star campsite is 35 minutes from Cherbourg, on the East coast of Cotentin, in the north of La Manche in Normandy. Located along the sea, in the middle of a large cove between Utah Beach and Saint Vaast la Hougue, you will enjoy relaxing holidays at the seaside and nice hiking in the Regional Park of Cotentin and Bessin marshland. In the heart of the landing beaches, the campsite Le Cormoran allows you to go easily to the numerous memorial D-Day sites: Sainte Mère Eglise, Omaha Beach, Arromanches…

By car

From Sainte Mère Eglise :
Take the D15 direction Ravenoville. In Ravenoville, take right, continue for 2 km until the beach. Turn right, direction Utah Beach / Camping Le Cormoran. After 800m you will find the campsite on your right.

From Paris :
Follow the A13 until Caen then take the RN13, exit Sainte Mère Eglise.

From Rennes / Le Mont Saint Michel :
Follow the A84 jusqu’à Saint Lô, then take the N174 until Carentan and the RN13, exit Sainte Mère Eglise.

From Cherbourg :
Take the RN13 direction Caen, exit Sainte Mère Eglise.

By train

If you prefer the comfort of a train trip, the closer station is in Carentan, 25 km from the campsite.

This step is on the line Paris-Cherbourg with a 2.30 hours journey.
Then you will have to catch a taxi to reach your final destination

By bus

The line 1 of the bus network Manéo link Saint-Lô to Cherbourg with stops to Carentan and Sainte Mère Eglise.

New coach services from Paris : New bus lines recently opened between the Capital to Normandy: Ouibus and Flixbus propose some journeys like Paris-Cherbourg or Paris-Caen.

The closest airports

You come from far away ? If you live in the south of France or in another Europe country, it will be easier and more comfortable to fly. Some airports are close to us :

  • Caen Carpiquet (destinations : Bordeaux, Toulouse, Londres…)
  • Rennes Bretagne (destinations : Bordeaux, Marseille, Lyon… and Europe)
  • Deauville (destinations : Londres and others in Europe)

For hiking trails lovers

Hikers, bike riders, horse riders, join our 5 star campsite wandering our nature trails following the GR 223.

  • From Carentan : Join Utah Beach following  the canal until the Baie des Veys and walk along the beach until the campsite.
  • From Val de Saire : Go along the coast until Quinéville, then follow the beach, admire the wonderful « Cabines de Ravenoville », those little multicoloured houses on waterfront : you are 500 meters from the campsite !
  • From Sainte Mère Eglise : Cross our superb typical Norman landscapes: the wooded pasturelands and coastal marshes of the Regional Park. Arriving in front of the sea, you will be just a few steps away from our establishment.
